“Dante in vigna”: starting with Cantine Aperte on May 29 and 30
A tribute to the poet within the most loved wine event
Movimento Turismo del Vino Toscana (Tuscan Wine Tourism Movement) has also decided to celebrate the poet, with a series of activities under the name “Dante in Vigna”. The long series of events will continue until December, launching with Cantine Aperte (Open Wine Cellars), the famous event for wine lovers that returns to Tuscan wineries from May 29 to 30.
The widespread event is a Tuscan campaign that explores both vineyards and Dante on the occasion of this important anniversary. The program features tastings combined with readings of passages from the Divine Comedy while immersed in the vineyard, as well as a promotional campaign with poignant videos released via online channels. There will be picnics, trekking and activities for children, all related to wine: red like Hell, pink like Purgatory, or white like Paradise.
The International Comics School of Florence created the graphics for the event, including the logo with the symbolic image that sees Dante inspired by his texts, holding a glass of Tuscan wine in his hand.
Cantine Aperte and Vigneti Aperti, with a nod to Dante
Cantine Aperte will be back in attendance (it was not held in 2020 due to the pandemic) from May 29 to 30. On this occasion, wineries will organize special programs, as per tradition. The latest novelty is Vigneti Aperti, designed to give the opportunity to spread traditional activities throughout the year. From May 1 until November, member wineries of Movimento Turismo del Vino Toscana will organize various types of events. The programs for all the initiatives will be available online shortly at www.mtvtoscana.com
